Sometimes I think my sister is crazy

Sometimes I think my sister is crazy for having five kids.

But, mainly I’m just crazy about the kids.

And my sister is an amazing mother.

P.S. Trampolines are fun.

  1. Great captures and writing in this post. Well done!

  2. I have three sisters and one brother. I always thought the same about my mom, she had to be crazy to have five children. Maybe she was, maybe she still is, but she is an incredible lovely mom.
Beautiful shots and thank you for reminding me of that!

  3. I know what you mean, my sister-in-law has 8 kids and one on the way, I couldn’t imagine having that many kids but I love them all so very much! They are the sweetest kids you could ever meet.
    Great photos!

  4. Cute series πŸ™‚ I love this!

  5. Nice to see your lovely happy photos.

  6. they are all lovely but i love Savannah with her missing-tooth smile. ONE lucky uncle you are… :sighs:

  7. i really like your first photo of the kids’ feet. colour or B&W would be amazing as i can already imagine the colours of summer! i gotta do this with my nephews sometime soon!

  8. Love all of them but especially, the fist one! So awfully cute…How lucky your sister is… having such beautiful five kids! πŸ™‚ Thanks for sharing these photo it brought me warm smile. Mariko

  10. Little Brown Tomato (LBT)

You did a great job with the photography AND in black and white, nonetheless. Huge applause to your sister too. Those kind of women are amazing.

  11. What a great photo shoot of the Blake kids by their Uncle Conor. The first photo of the 5 children’s feet reminds me of Mem Fox, an author who lives in South Australia She wrote a children’s story about Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes. It’s a great story and all about the beauty of having children. Here’s the link to her reading this: http://www.memfox.com/mem-reads-aloud#
PS: Love all the kids’ names, especially Atlanta (where I live) and Savannah (the only city in our state that borders the ocean in Southeastern part of the US).

    • Thanks Mary for your thoughtful comment. I’ll send my sister the link to that story too so the kids can hear it. I’ll also pass on the compliment and info re their names πŸ™‚

  12. Beautiful lively pics. It takes guts to have 5 kids πŸ™‚

  13. I LOVE the first shot with all the feet, that is my favorite… love the tramp shots too, I have a few of those myself when I bought one for my boys a few years back. It’s since been sold, but your shots brought back some memories.

  14. I can only handle one (plus my boyfriend I guess is two) and he isn’t even my child πŸ™‚ These kiddies are lucky to have such and awesome uncle to make creative memories for them to look back at. Remember that day on the trampoline? Yeah, that was choice! (Ok they probably won’t say choice).

  15. Amazing amazing shots! I can almost feel the joy emanating from these shots! My favourite has got to be the first picture though πŸ™‚

  16. What fun photos….priceless!

  17. great photos you have here πŸ™‚

    regards,
    Mel

  18. Precious moments: they grow up so quickly and in my experience it’s difficult to get such a complete sequence like this. You might not have had a camera for very long but these are the work of a pro.

  19. Wonderful observation both visually and verbally. You have a keen eye an open creative heart. Keep on enjoying what you do.

  20. Great kids. Your sister must be lucky to have 5 amazing kids.

  21. one of my sister in laws has 5 kids…….while one of my brother in laws has 8 ^-^ never a dull moment [and Christmas is fab ^-^]

  25. Much better than my trampoline shots in Hungary, I should have taken the SLR!

  26. Gorgeous shots, the real energy of young children..

  27. These are so fun! πŸ™‚

  28. Blessing them all, they are so lovely and also so lovely photographs… as if you stopped the time. Thank you, dear Conor. Love, nia

    Peace & Light

  31. Yep, my brother has 4 kids and I question his sanity at times too, wink. We take lots of photos to capture the days also. I know I’ve worked hard to be the favorite Auntie… hope you have the rep as an ultra cool Uncle!

    • Well I have stiff competition from four brothers, but even if I didn’t I don’t think I’d ever get that rep. They’re too smart for that πŸ™‚ Hope you have fun photographing your brother’s brood!

  32. Wow … talk about photos filled with joy !!! Stunning and so well captured. Youth and joy, is there anything that stands better for happiness.

  34. Wonderful Yaar!! Reminded me of all the pics I took of my nephews and nieces when they had all gathered for a wedding in the family!

The one with an incisor missing is surely the biggest brat of them all…right??

  35. Absolutely beautiful photos! Congrats!!!

  36. Always puts a smile on the face to see happy kids being…well, kids. πŸ™‚

Having grown up as one of four children, I can only imagine what adding one more would have done to our household. Your sister’s one brave lady!
